Home Depot adds delivery options through DoorDash and Uber Eats

The Home Depot expanded its family of delivery partners for 2025, announcing that shoppers will be able to get their home improvement wares through DoorDash and Uber Eats.

The retailer joins its largest competitor, Lowe’s, on DoorDash, as well as Uber Eats, adding the same-day delivery options. Those apps, along with Instacart and others, have been adding to their rosters of merchants over the past year. The Home Depot’s Instacart partnership went national in 2024.

The Home Depot Inc. ranks No. 4 in the Top 1000 Database. There, Digital Commerce 360’s ranks the largest online retailers in North America by annual web sales. It’s also the top-ranked retailer in the Top 1000’s Hardware & Home Improvement category. Digital Commerce 360 projects The Home Depot’s online sales will reach $23.97 billion in 2025.

Home Depot’s new presence on DoorDash and Uber Eats for delivery

“Combining DoorDash’s fast and convenient platform with The Home Depot’s existing same-day and next-day delivery options, HomeDepot.com offers our customers even more flexibility and convenience to shop in the way that best suits their needs,” said Jordan Broggi, executive vice president of customer experience and president of online at The Home Depot. “This is one of the many ways we’re expanding our digital capabilities to create a seamless, interconnected shopping experience.”

In the same vein, Broggi noted in a separate announcement that “a seamless interconnected shopping experience” and offering its customers more alternatives motivated the company to put itself on the Uber Eats app.

“By complementing our current same-day and next-day delivery services on HomeDepot.com with Uber Eats’ speedy and user-friendly platform, we’re offering more options to serve our customers however they prefer to shop,” Broggi stated.

Home Depot on DoorDash

On DoorDash, The Home Depot will look to serve both consumers and professionals who buy online and from its family of more than 2,000 stores.

In the case of same-day delivery options, the retail will hope to be more readily accessible to its shoppers. Same-day delivery can be a value add for some home improvement customers. Examples include those who are mid-project or for other reasons need materials with a tight turnaround.

“We’re excited to partner with The Home Depot to give DIY and Pro customers immediate access to the home improvement supplies they need,” said Mike Goldblatt, vice president of new verticals partnerships at DoorDash. “Amidst a project and out of nails, screw heads or drill bits, on-demand delivery from DoorDash can save time and any added stress.”

Home Depot on Uber Eats

Uber Eats offered similar sentiments in describing the range of products it will deliver from Home Depot locations.

“Teaming up with The Home Depot is a new step forward in serving consumers through delivery in even more aspects of their lives,” said Hashim Amin, head of North American grocery and retail delivery at Uber Eats. “Together, we’re breaking down barriers and making it easier for people to access the products they need for their projects, all from the convenience of their phone or computer, with the reliability Uber is known for.”

As with DoorDash, Uber Eats will handle deliveries from Home Depot’s 2000-plus stores. Those deliveries can be scheduled for future times and tracked through the apps.
