QXO Inc. has appointed Eric Nelson as chief information officer, effective July 14.

Eric Nelson, chief information officer, QXO
The company is pushing forward with its plan to become the tech-enabled leader in the $800 billion building products distribution market.
Nelson joins QXO from The Kraft Heinz Company. At Kraft Heinz, he played a significant role in digital modernization efforts spanning global supply chains, analytics, and cloud infrastructure. His appointment signals QXO’s intensifying focus on using technology to streamline operations, scale acquisitions, and reshape how building products are distributed.
About the QXO chief information officer
“Eric brings a rare blend of technical acumen and business insight to QXO,” said Brad Jacobs, chairman and CEO of QXO, in a statement. “His proven record across logistics, procurement, manufacturing and sales aligns perfectly with the innovation already underway at QXO.”
Also at Kraft Heinz, Nelson most recently led global IT strategy for all corporate functions. That included R&D, finance, and supply chain. He previously served as CIO of Kraft Heinz North America and global head of analytics. In those roles, he helped develop AI-driven operations and oversaw enterprise cloud migrations. He also played a key role in integrating systems across five major M&A events.
Nelson’s early career includes leadership roles at Kraft Foods Group and Cadbury plc. He focused on operational efficiency and digital enablement across manufacturing and distribution.
His appointment comes as QXO pursues an aggressive strategy of acquisition and digital scale, targeting $50 billion in annual revenue over the next decade. The company says digital infrastructure will be central to integrating new businesses and optimizing services across its growing national platform.
Nelson holds a degree in information systems technology from Southern Illinois University and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
