Moonshot AI has raised $10 million in seed funding led by Mighty Capital, with participation from Oceans Ventures, Uncorrelated, Garuda Ventures and Almaz Capital.
Moonshot AI is a startup developing software that teaches websites to automatically improve their own performance. The company’s no-code platform uses generative artificial intelligence to analyze visitor behavior, evaluate new on-site experiences and deploy those that lead to higher conversions and sales. The goal, according to the founders, is to automate the type of optimization work that typically requires design, development and analytics teams.
Moonshot AI was founded by Aviv Frenkel, Ph.D., and Evyatar Segal. Both of them previously managed ecommerce businesses and saw firsthand how difficult it is to improve conversion rates.
“Every change you want to make requires a massive team,” Frenkel said. “We wanted to create a system that could manage that complexity on its own.”
How Moonshot AI will use funding for self-optimizing websites
Early ecommerce customers, including the skin care brand DefenAge and lifestyle retailer Yáneken, have reported a 30% increase in revenue per visitor after several months of using the platform, according to the company.
Segal is the company’s chief technology officer. He said the timing of the launch reflects growing demand for measurable results from AI in digital commerce.
“A lot of companies are still trying to find real impact from AI tools,” he said. “In ecommerce, the return on investment is clear.”
Jennifer Vancini, co-founder and general partner at Mighty Capital, said the investment reflects confidence in Moonshot AI’s focus on business results.
“We back innovators whose products deliver measurable impact,” Vancini said in a statement. “Moonshot AI is helping organizations improve performance through continuous optimization.”
The company’s funding comes as retailers and brands prepare for the holiday shopping season, when minor changes in website performance can have a significant impact on sales. With many ecommerce teams facing staffing limits, automation of testing and personalization has become a growing priority.
Moonshot AI plans to use the seed funding to expand its engineering and customer-success teams and to extend its technology to more ecommerce and direct-to-consumer clients.
The company’s broader ambition, Frenkel said, is to make websites that “learn and adapt as fast as their customers do.”
