Znode has released an upgraded version of its Commerce Connector that adds new configuration-driven integration tools.
The enhancement introduces “data exchanges,” which expand Znode’s native ability to connect directly to enterprise systems such as enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), and product information management (PIM) platforms. Znode is a B2B ecommerce platform that manufacturers and distributors use. It has a complex catalog and multi-store requirements.
The Commerce Connector functions as Znode’s built-in integration engine. It designed the Commerce Connector to reduce reliance on third-party middleware. With the addition of Data Exchanges, administrators can configure mappings, automate data flows, and monitor integrations inside the Znode Administration Console. Znode said this reduces the amount of custom code historically required to link ecommerce platforms with back-end systems.
Znode adds integration tools
“ERPs are the heart of every manufacturer and distributor,” said Tom Flierl, chief commercial officer at Znode. “These companies depend on accurate, real-time data to be displayed in an ecommerce experience. The Commerce Connector provides a flexible way to connect with ERPs, PIMs, CRMs and other systems. It simplifies integration management and reduces long-term maintenance costs.”
The update targets manufacturers and distributors that manage large product catalogs, multiple business units or interconnected ecommerce environments. Znode says the Data Exchanges framework supports real-time or scheduled data transfers for products, pricing, inventory, customer records and orders. Administrators can manage field mapping, data transformation rules, scheduling and integration logs without third-party tools.
Znode positions the upgrade to shorten ecommerce deployment timelines and improve data accuracy by shifting from custom development to configuration-based integration. The Commerce Connector operates within Znode’s application programming interface (API)-first architecture and uses native connectors built with modern authentication protocols.
The enhancement underscores Znode’s focus on serving manufacturers and distributors that rely on consistent data across multiple systems to run ecommerce operations.
