Sourceability has named Sam Stephens as chief procurement officer.
The company is a data-driven global distributor of electronic components. It also provides supply chain services and technology.
In this role, Stephens will lead sourcing, purchasing and supplier development across Sourceability’s global operations. He will also help shape the company’s corporate strategy as well as its technology and data roadmaps, the company said.
About the new Sourceability chief procurement officer
Stephens has 20 years of experience in the independent electronic components distribution sector. His background includes building resilient supply chains, expanding data-driven analytics capabilities, negotiating supplier relationships and implementing procurement processes designed to balance cost, quality and speed.
At Sourceability, Stephens is expected to focus on aligning procurement operations more closely with customer demand signals and real-time market conditions. The move comes as distributors continue to navigate volatility in semiconductor availability, lead times and pricing.
Sourceability operates a hybrid distribution model that combines traditional component sourcing with technology-enabled services, including market intelligence, inventory access and supply chain visibility tools. The company said the appointment reflects its continued investment in integrating procurement execution with digital platforms and analytics.
Stephens’ appointment follows broader efforts by Sourceability to strengthen its global operating model and scale its data-driven supply chain capabilities.
