Formica launches ecommerce platform and access to 1,000 laminate designs

Formica Corp. has introduced ecommerce capabilities on its website, offering more than 1,000 laminate design options for both residential and commercial use.

This new platform enables U.S. consumers to purchase Formica Laminate directly from Formica.com, making it easier for both new and existing customers to access the company’s products.

Formica makes a shift to ecommerce

Amy Gath, vice president of marketing and strategy at Formica, noted that the company is shifting to ecommerce to complement existing purchasing options.

“This new channel makes it easier for customers to find the right design solution, even if they are unable to find products nearby,” Gath explained.

Formica makes its laminate sheets available in 4-by-8-foot and 5-by-12-foot sizes. It delivers them within three to five days, on average. The online shopping experience is streamlined with filtering options by type, color, and texture, allowing customers to quickly find products suited to their needs. In addition, Formica keeps free samples and swatch downloads available on its site, helping customers make informed decisions before purchasing.

For architects and designers, the new platform offers specialized features to simplify project management. Users can track orders, save project details, and reference previous samples, streamlining the ordering process for multiple projects.

Founded in 1913, Formica is a manufacturer of surfacing products for both commercial and residential applications. With this new ecommerce platform, Formica aims to meet growing customer demand for more convenient and accessible purchasing options.
