Anthropic launches B2B marketplace for enterprise AI applications

Artificial intelligence company Anthropic has introduced a B2B marketplace to help enterprise customers discover and deploy software built on its Claude family of AI models.

The move expands the company’s strategy beyond foundational AI models into a broader application ecosystem. Its new Claude Marketplace allows businesses to browse and purchase third-party software tools built on Anthropic’s AI technology and deploy them using existing Claude subscriptions and enterprise spending commitments.

The platform debuted in limited preview and initially features applications from partners including Snowflake, GitLab, Harvey AI, Replit, Rogo and Lovable. The tools span areas such as software development, data analysis, and enterprise automation.

About the Anthropic Claude Marketplace’s B2B role

Anthropic said the Claude Marketplace is intended to simplify procurement for B2B organizations adopting generative AI by consolidating software discovery, purchasing and deployment into a single platform.

Unlike many software marketplaces, Anthropic said it does not currently plan to take a commission on transactions completed through the marketplace.

Instead, the company is positioning the platform as a distribution channel for developers building applications on its AI models.

The move reflects a broader shift in the AI sector as model providers seek to build ecosystems around their technology. Companies including OpenAI, Google and Microsoft are also expanding marketplaces, plugin systems and partner networks that allow developers to build commercial applications on top of their AI platforms.

Anthropic, founded in 2021 by former OpenAI researchers including CEO Dario Amodei, develops the Claude series of large language models (LLMs) used for tasks such as coding, research and enterprise automation. The company has received billions of dollars in investment from major technology companies including Amazon and Google.

By introducing the Claude Marketplace, Anthropic is aiming to position its platform not only as an AI model provider but also as a distribution channel for enterprise software built on generative AI.
