BJ’s Wholesale has named a new chief merchandising officer, tasking her with “delivering continued growth across categories.”
Stephanie Reibling stepped into the executive vice president, chief merchandising officer role at BJ’s Wholesale on April 1, 2026. There, she now reports to Paul Cichocki, executive vice president and chief commercial officer at the company.
The retailer said Reibling will be critical in leading its merchandising transformation.
“The club channel is thriving, and Stephanie brings a deep knowledge of the space and a track record of driving growth,” said Robert Eddy, CEO at BJ’s, in a statement announcing the appointment. “She will have an immediate impact as we continue to deliver unbeatable value and exciting products to our members.”
BJ’s Wholesale is no. 39 in the Top 2000 Database. The database ranks North America’s largest online retailers, tracking their annual ecommerce sales and more.
About the new BJ’s Wholesale chief merchandising officer
Reibling brings about 25 years of experience to BJ’s Wholesale, having worked in merchandising, product and brand development, and sourcing, according to the retailer.
Before joining BJ’s Wholesale, she was senior vice president and general merchandise manager at Sam’s Club. There, she led a portfolio of merchandising categories for both physical locations and ecommerce.
Prior to Sam’s Club, Reibling also held divisional merchandising roles at Walmart, as well as leadership roles at Gap Inc.
“Her experience in retail and merchandising will be invaluable as we evolve our assortment, build BJ’s own brands and advance our omnichannel capabilities,” Cichocki said.
Reibling attained an MBA from Columbia Business School and a bachelor’s in finance and accounting from the University of Michigan.
BJ’s Wholesale said it operates 263 stores and 201 gas locations across 21 states. For its fiscal Q4 2025, which ended Jan. 31, 2026, BJ’s Wholesale reported a 5.5% year-over-year increase in net sales, which reached $45 billion.
Eddy said on the quarterly earnings call that BJ’s Wholesale fulfilled 90% of its digital business through its clubs. He also shared that app downloads increased by 25%, with the retailer’s apps currently responsible for about one-third of its digital sales.
In its Q4, BJ’s Wholesale recorded a 2.6% increase in merchandise comparable club sales.
“And behind the scenes, AI is enhancing our merchandising enrichment and platform reliability,” Eddy said on the call.
