The business-to-business (B2B) ecommerce platform OroCommerce announced new collaborations with iPaas.com and Intellias in separate offerings for its manufacturing clients, as well as wholesalers and distributors.
The integration and partnership were both detailed through public announcements in May. They cover enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM) and other digital commerce operations for OroCommerce users.
OroCommerce serves customers in a variety of industries. They include the aviation marketplace operator PartsBase, petrochemical company Braskem and Dunlop Protective Footwear, according to the technology vendor’s website.
How OroCommerce is working with Intellias
With Intellias, OroCommerce referred to its relationship as a “strategic partnership.” Ultimately, it is geared toward helping businesses manage multiple sales channels as they “scale digital commerce in a composable way.” Intellias will bring its artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled technology to OroCommerce’s platform to augment its capabilities.
“We bring together innovative technology and deep industry experience to empower manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, building merchants, and DIY retailers to meet evolving market demands,” said Myles Bunbury, president of engineering and vice president of consumer solutions at Intellias. “By combining Intellias’ AI and agentic capabilities with Oro’s robust B2B commerce platform, we aim to deliver agile, scalable solutions that drive growth and efficiency.”
OroCommerce indicated that it expected Intellias to play a role in addressing issues of complexity in B2B sales. Specifically, the companies expect to leverage AI solutions from Intellias to inform predictive demand forecasting. In addition, OroCommerce expects Intellias’ technology to aid other data-based business decision processes.
“Intellias brings exactly the kind of deep technical expertise that our enterprise customers demand,” said Aaron Sheehan, vice president of strategy and partnerships at OroCommerce’s owner, Oro Inc. “This partnership strengthens OroCommerce’s ability to serve manufacturers and distributors who are serious about transforming their commerce and revenue operations. It also gives Intellias’ clients access to a platform built specifically for the complexity of B2B.”
OroCommerce’s new iPaas.com integration
Meanwhile, the new iPaas.com integration for OroCommerce is intended to address issues with fragmentation across companies’ technology stacks, encompassing ERP, CRM, payments and operations systems.
“B2B commerce is fundamentally account-centric, which means ERP, CRM, inventory, and pricing systems must operate as a unified layer,” Sheehan said. “This integration gives our customers a standards-driven, audit-ready foundation that reflects how modern B2B businesses actually operate.”
OroCommerce noted that companies using its platform in tandem with NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Acumatica, Epicor Prophet 21, Oracle EBS, and SYSPRO would be able to synchronize data using an integration hub made possible with iPaas.com. The integration is offered through the iPaaS.com Certified Integration Marketplace.
“Commerce platforms serve as the sales backbone of enterprise systems,” said Robert Rand, chief partnership officer at iPaaS.com. “By bringing OroCommerce into our Certified Integration Marketplace, customers gain a reliable, production-ready integration instead of maintaining fragile custom connectors.”
