Amazon’s third-party logistics (3PL) services will extend to a new range of major marketplace sellers, offering new fulfillment for merchants using Shein, Shopify and Walmart Marketplace.
Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment announced that its Fulfillment by Amazon options, including picking, packing and shipping, are already available to Walmart sellers. Features are also available to Shopify Fulfillment Network merchants, while Shein U.S. Marketplace sellers are slated to gain access to services by the end of 2025.
Amazon is No. 1, and Walmart is No. 2 in the Top 2000. The database is Digital Commerce 360’s ranking of North America’s online retailers by their annual ecommerce sales. In addition, Amazon is No. 3, and Walmart is No. 8 in the Global Online Marketplaces. That database ranks the top such marketplaces by third-party gross merchandise value (GMV). Shein is No. 67 in Global Online Marketplaces.
Which fulfillment options Amazon will provide for Walmart sellers
Amazon’s Multi-Channel Fulfillment services for Walmart Marketplace orders appear for merchants using Amazon Seller Central or integration partners such as WebBee, Pipe17, Rithum, Goflow, Lingxing and others. For those orders, Amazon will offer real-time inventory synchronization and accelerated processing times, the company announced.
Other services include order tracking, delivery in unbranded packaging and the option to select a shipping carrier.
Which Amazon 3PL services will be accessible for Shein and Shopify sellers
For Shein U.S. Marketplace sellers, delivery using Multi-Channel Fulfillment will be selectable using the Amazon MCF for Shein app, Amazon said. That app will be available through Amazon Seller Central, which is Amazon’s Supply Chain Portal, as well as the Shein Seller Hub.
Meanwhile, Shopify Fulfillment Network merchants can already select Amazon MCF as a fulfillment partner for pick, pack and ship services. The options require a merchant to link their Amazon Seller Central account to their Shopify account. Then, available options include automatic inventory synchronization, real-time order tracking and delivery estimates, and performance metrics.
“Amazon’s world-class fulfillment network delights customers with fast, reliable delivery — fueling the success of independent sellers in the U.S. and around the world,” said Peter Larsen, vice president of Amazon Multichannel Commerce and Fulfillment. “By working with Shein, Shopify, and Walmart, we’re making it easier for sellers — especially the small and medium-sized businesses that drive our economy — to use our network to grow faster and more efficiently across their sales channels.”
Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment is used by merchants on other platforms as well, including eBay, Etsy, Temu and TikTok Shop.
