ReFiBuy launches tools to address the rise of agentic commerce

ReFiBuy has introduced its first product, the Commerce Intelligence Engine, to help retailers, brands, and agencies manage how their products appear in the emerging channel of agentic commerce.

Agentic commerce refers to shopping driven by artificial intelligence (A) agents such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity, Meta.ai, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, and Claude. It differs from traditional search engines or online marketplaces such as Amazon by relying on AI agents to actively research, recommend, and even complete purchases for consumers.

Instead of browsing product listings or typing keywords, shoppers increasingly receive results and buying recommendations directly from generative artificial intelligence systems. This makes product catalog accuracy, structure, and visibility essential for companies hoping to remain competitive.

ReFiBuy introduces commerce platform

ReFiBuy said its platform ingests product catalogs, evaluates product data and page structures, enriches content with missing attributes, and distributes optimized listings to major agentic platforms.

Its monitoring feature then assesses whether products are visible, whether the information is accurate, and how they rank on what the company calls the “artificial intelligence digital shelf.”

“Agentic commerce changes how products are discovered and purchased, and the industry needs tools to ensure accuracy and visibility,” said ReFiBuy co-founder Scot Wingo.

Footwear brand Steve Madden participated as a design partner.

“The platform’s insights and actionable recommendations enhance our content and visibility for our generative artificial intelligence digital shelf,” said Josh Krepon, president of U.S. direct to consumer and global digital at Steve Madden.

ReFiBuy was founded by ecommerce veterans including Wingo, Cameron Bowe, James Frawley, and Derek Conlin, with backgrounds at ChannelAdvisor, Walmart, and MikMak. The company said its platform integrates with existing ecommerce systems, product information management systems (PIM), and enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) while adapting to AI-driven shopping environments.
